The geometry of the Advanced composite frame and swingarm was developed specifically around 29-inch wheels. That means shorter chainstays, a longer toptube, and just the right angles with the headtube (64.56 degrees) and seattube (76.36 degrees). We gave it an updated Maestro rear suspension system with 146mm of travel. The trunnion mount shock and Advanced Forged Composite rocker arm deliver an active, super plush feel on the trail.

KEY PERFORMANCE FACTORS: Race-bred suspension A new Maestro rear suspension system with longer travel (160mm) was developed and tested under the extreme conditions of Enduro World Series races. The trunnion-mount shock has a longer stroke (62.5mm compared to 60mm on the previous generation). And the Advanced Forged Composite upper rocker arm adds stiffness and lowers overall weight. Adjustable enduro geometry New flip chip technology lets you switch between three settings depending on the terrain. You can select a 63.5, 63.9, or 64.2-degree head angle and corresponding 78.3, 78.7 or 79-degree seat tube angle, resulting in a 35, 30, or 25mm bottom bracket drop (size medium) to fine-tune handling for trail conditions, riding style, and rear-wheel size. Rear wheel options Riders can choose either a 29- or 27.5-inch rear wheel, paired with a 29-inch front wheel. The larger 29-inch option improves stability and roll-over capabilities, while the 27.5 option delivers a more agile, snappier feel. It's a quick and easy change to adjust the bike's handling and feel. HIGHLIGHTS This full-composite frameset is engineered with enduro racing geometry and adjustability that lets you change the bike's handling and riding characteristics with three flip chip settings. Also new is the ability to swap out the stock 29-inch rear wheel for a smaller 27.5-inch one. This "mullet" setup makes for an equally short chainstay length and a shorter reach, giving the bike a snappier feel on aggressive terrain. The updated Maestro suspension system has 160mm of rear wheel travel, paired with a 170mm fork up front. And new integrated down tube storage provides convenient carrying capacity for trail riding essentials. ADVANCED COMPOSITE Mainframe and rear swingarm crafted with high-performance grade raw carbon fiber and custom resin that's custom made in Giant's own composite factory. Handcrafted monocoque construction makes it extremely lightweight, stiff and compliant (39 percent additional rear-end stiffness over previous generation). MAESTRO SUSPENSION Four strategically positioned pivot points and two linkages all work together to create a single floating pivot for the most active, efficient and independent suspension system on the trail. ADVANCED FORGED COMPOSITE A state-of-the-art high-pressure molding process is used to produce the carbon fiber upper rocker link that's lighter, stiffer and stronger than aluminum. ADJUSTABLE ENDURO GEOMETRY Frame geometry can be adjusted between three settings to match riding style and terrain. INTERNAL STORAGE All new integrated down tube storage provides convenient carrying capacity for on-trail essentials. POWERCORE A massively oversized bottom bracket area features a fully integrated, 92mm wide design. Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside. OVERDRIVE Giant's proven oversized fork steerer tube technology. Designed to provide precise front-end steering performance, the system's oversized headset bearings (1 1/2" lower and 1 1/8" upper) and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness. You can dial in frame geometry and switch the rear wheel size for the terrain. More Travel New Maestro rear suspension adds 5mm of travel over previous generation, going from 135mm to 140mm. A trunnion mount shock and Advanced Forged Composite rocker arm combine for a longer stroke with a smooth, active feel. Rear suspension is paired with a 150mm travel fork for superior confidence and control on technical singletrack terrain. Adjustable trail geometry A three-position Maestro flip chip lets you dial in frame geometry for your riding style and terrain. The high setting adds more ground clearance, a good option for tight, technical terrain. The low setting creates a slacker head angle and lower bottom bracket for confident handling at higher speeds. The middle position is neutral. In addition, a new headset flip chip provides 10mm of reach adjustment. Rear wheel options All models come with 29-inch front and rear wheels, but the flip chip lets you opt for a mixed wheel setup including a 27.5 rear. The stock setup optimizes stability and roll-over speed, while a 27.5 rear wheel delivers a snappier feel and more saddle-to-tire clearance. Some riders favor this “mullet” setup for riding steep, technical terrain.

This full-composite frame is engineered for 135mm of rear travel and 150mm up front. The Maestro rear suspension has a two-stage adjustable Advanced Forged Composite rocker arm with a trunnion-mount shock. A flip chip lets you choose either low or high frame geometry settings, which adjusts the headtube and seattube angle, along with the bottom bracket drop, to fine tune handling for your riding style and terrain.
